Whenever Creative and Artistic Director Dr. Suzanna Pavlovsky expresses the importance of variety in the arts, there is excitement and dedication in her eyes. Having what it takes to create and run a nonprofit boils down to one important quality: passion.

Dr. Suzanna Pavlovsky

Pavlovsky's passion for the arts and making a difference in the community sets her organization apart from others. It was her passion that led to success with the creation of Ensemble Eclectica!.

Maestra Suzanna Pavlovsky takes pride in her role at Ensemble Eclectica! not only as founder and CEO, but also as creative director. In this role, she strives to unite all types of art into creative and unique experiences appealing to audiences regardless of their age and background. The idea for Ensemble Eclectica! came to her after attending USC's SAVVY Musician in Action Program in 2015.

Pavlovsky started her journey in becoming a professional musician and conductor with bachelor's degrees from the former Soviet Union and Israel. She decided to move to the United States for new opportunities and more education shortly after graduation. Several years later, she obtained a master's degree in conducting from Michigan State University, followed by a PhD in Music Theory from Eastman School of Music, and culminating in a doctorate in orchestral conducting from the University of South Carolina. She worked as an assistant conductor for the Lake Murray Symphony Orchestra from 2012-2014. Her objective for creating Ensemble Eclectica! was to produce stimulating performances promoting local Columbia talent that included different art forms in collaboration with music. Her performances now include amazing experiences which, in addition to the art and music, create a sense of intimacy with the audience by also offering food and wine. Mllestra Pavlovsky is also the founder and CEO of Palmetto Chamber Orchestra, an organization of community musicians who present outstanding chamber music concerts and educational experiences for the community's enjoyment and appreciation.

Or. Pavlovsky is extremely passionate about Ensemble Eclectica and its mission of promoting local talent while blending the boundaries of art. What brings her most joy is getting to experience her vision when all the components finally come together. She loves to see the excitement and joy in the audience before, during, and after the performances. Unfortunately, due to the COVI0-19 pandemic, Ensemble Eclectica's productions have been put on hold for the time being.

Maestra Pavlovsky has hopes for Ensemble Eclectica's creative cast to grow, and for the nonprofit's mission to reach the interest of people far and wide beyond the geographical boundariesof Columbkl. Her passion for the performing arts has helped shape Columbia's arts scene and changed the game for performing arts groups to come.
